    Description

    A pair of important chiselled gilt bronze three lights scones in Louis XVI style. The base in shape of quiver full of arrows finished by a  fir cones on its lower part. The top is decorated with a Louis XVI knot. Three light arms are decorated with acanthus leaves and a garland of roses.

    This rare design was executed about 1785 after a drawing by Hauré, delivred by Ravrio in 1805 for the dining room of the Petit Trianon where Pauline Borghese lived, before being sent to Fontainebleau for the Empress' dining room.
