    Description

    Carved gilt wood. Signed "par Bastin/Gde rue faub. Saint Antoine vis à vis de/ la rue traverciere au cordon bleu/ à Paris". The thermometer indicates the temperature for Syria, Saint Petersbourg, Senegale, of a hen brooding on her eggs, an ordinary bath, a silkworm, a room for a sick person, a temperate green house, the temperature in Paris in 1740, 1754, 1760, 1768, 1709.
