Russian icon depicting the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth, from the 19th century.
Adorned with a bronze cross located in the center of the icon in which Jesus is recognizably crucified on a cross surrounded by the saints present at his side during his crusifiction and surmounted by two angels.
The various scenes of Christ's crucifixion recounted in the epistle can be seen in the background, executed using the technique of egg tempera on panel, on a gold background.
