    Description

    A Louis XV period gilt carved wood rare barometer - thermometer. The top of the barometer is decorated by a painting representing a putto with the attributes of the science.

    The thermometer indicates the warm records for Senegal, Syrie and the tropics, the cold records for Paris in 1709, 1740, 1746, 1766 and 1767, and the warm record for Paris in 1755.

    In good condition. The mechanism was revised.
