    Description

    A Louis XVI period carved gilt wood barometer decorated with two doves, a torch and a quiver, the symbols of the Love. Signed "Par Carocher, opticien quai de l'horloge N° 770 à Paris". Very nice original gilding. Interesting historical references for the thermometer.
